Everyone has questions, but can you always get a relevant answer?  Here at AdviceYard.com we're hoping to change the name of the Q&A game.  On other question/answer sites, you can ask a question, and anybody from across the world can answer it.  Would that answer be relevant if this person has no idea where you even come from (especially if you're asking a question about a local establishment)?  Our site is different in that the people answering your question are FROM your city.  That means they live and work in the same places you do.  Don't you think that they would know where you're coming from a little bit more?  Makes sense right.  If you enjoy the site, and what we're trying to accomplish, I urge you to spread the word and tell your friends.  Please send us any questions/comments as we're constantly trying to improve our sites features.

This past Tuesday, AdviceYard presented the website to a crowded bar (Gallery Bar) down in the Lower East Side.  We are happy to report that the presentation was a great success, and we received many positive responses!  We were able to network with many NYC industry people who had other websites and similar interests.  What's better than drinking some beer and talking tech!?  I think you all can agree. Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to web2newyork.com  & meetup.com , but specifically Peter Verkooijen for organizing and hosting the event! 

Thank you to all who have been so active on the site so far.  We're very close to getting 200 members!  This is a great feat as we've just recently launched a few weeks ago.  We're really trying to make this your goto place for NYC residents seeking answers and advice.  I myself found a great boutique store to buy shirts at in Noho based on a fellow AdviceYard member's answer (View Here). So continue to spread the word anywhere the opportunity arises (new city residents, college kids, non-technical people..whomever).  Oh also, we will be holding another contest in the next few weeks for an Ipod..that's right..an Ipod..jealous?...it's pretty much illegal to walk around the streets of NYC without one nowadays.  So why not just conform already..it's actually a pretty sweet product.
